Stacey Davenport is the co-founder of DavenportMajor Executive Search. Her hands-on operational leadership in Life Sciences has been sought after by clients worldwide. Her depth of clinical healthcare experience combined with a strong track record of executive search expertise have made her a public figure in the industry with numerous interviews in the Wall Street Journal, an interview on the NBC Evening News with Tom Brokaw and highlights in Forbes and Business Week, among others.
She specializes exclusively in Life Sciences and Healthcare sectors including the emerging areas of Wireless Healthcare and Cleantech/Biofuels and serves Fortune 500 global organizations as well as private equity and venture backed companies. Prior to DavenportMajor, she co-founded the first west coast office for a boutique search firm out of Chicago leading the Life Sciences and Board of Directors search practices for the firm. Previously, she served as the Life Sciences Practice Leader for AT Kearney Executive Search, the fifth largest retained, global executive search firm. Prior to her search career, she spent 10 yrs in interventional cardiology practice in Dallas, Texas with the last 3 years leading the business.
Dr. Davenport is also a Registered Investment Advisor and passed the Series 7, 63 and 65 licensing exams. She received her degree in Molecular Genetics and Cellular Biology from the University of Texas, trained in the Pharmacology program at AMI/University of Washington, passed the RCIS and RDCS board registries in Adult Cardiology and also completed the Advanced Program on Negotiation from Harvard University. She also completed her MBA and Doctoral Degrees in Business Administration from Madison University as well. Additionally, completing her doctoral dissertation on The Social Intelligence of Executives.
