Dr. Stacey L. Davenport
Stacey Davenport is the co-founder of DavenportMajor Executive Search. Her hands-on operational leadership and depth of technical knowledge in the Life Sciences sectors has been sought after by clients worldwide. Ms. Davenport's executive search expertise and winning track record have made her a public figure in the Life Sciences industry, with numerous interviews in the Wall Street Journal and appearances on the NBC Evening News with Tom Brokaw, among others. She is also known for her speaking engagements and moderator appearances at major industry events.
Ms. Davenport specializes exclusively in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device and healthcare sectors serving venture backed emerging growth companies as well as Fortune 500 companies worldwide. Prior to DavenportMajor, she co-founded the first west coast office for a Chicago based search firm leading the life sciences and board search practices for the firm. Previously, she led the life sciences search practice for AT Kearney Executive Search, the fifth largest global search firm.
Prior to entering the search industry, Stacey spent 10 yrs in clinical medicine specializing in interventional cardiology in Dallas, Texas, passing the RDCS and RICS registry exams in cardiology and also serving the last 3 years as managing director of the practice. She received her degrees in Molecular Genetics and Cellular Biology from the University of Texas, completed the Pharmacology program at AMI/University of Washington and her MBA and PhD in Business Administration from Madison University. Stacey completed the course on Advanced Negotiation from Harvard University as well completing her doctoral dissertation on The Social Intelligence of Executives. Ms. Davenport also passed the Registered Investment Advisor and Series 7, 63 and 65 licensing exams.
